Karen is a Board-Certified Music Therapist and CT Licensed Music Teacher. She received her Music Therapy degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Terre Haute, Indiana, Master’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Colorado in Boulder, and Bachelor’s degree in Voice Performance from Western Connecticut State University. Karen is truly grateful for the meaningful experiences she's had working alongside children and adults with disabilities, as well as in hospice and memory care settings. She completed her internship with Connecticut Music Therapy Services, LLC.
Sharing the joy of music has been my lifelong passion. From my early days performing in community theater, singing as a soloist, and with choirs, teaching music to children from elementary through high school, I’ve dedicated my life to helping others connect with music. These deeply enriching experiences inspired me to become a Music Therapist. I am so thankful to those who helped me along this path - my husband and children, my parents, brother and sisters, family and friends, teachers, mentors, and colleagues - I will be forever grateful for believing in me.
